A Mother's Day Card
I helped my GD make her mom a Mother's Day card. I got the pieces ready and she glued them down. She picked out and put all the bling on the cards herself. It is an easel card which I am having fun making now. My GD is fascinated with them too.
Hubby's Birthday Card
My hubby has a Birthday Coming up. I made a quick easy card for him that I know he will love.
He loves is Beer!!! So I thought this would make a perfect card for him.

The Cut is from a Cricut Craftroom Download.
It is a Father's day card that I altered into a birthday card for my hubby.
I hand cut the word dad off the image and replaced it with my hubby's name.
I used the Base Camp cartridge for the font for hubby's name.
It was cut out at 1/2"
The base of the card was cut at 6-1/2"
I used foil paper for the overlay for the front of the card.
National Scrapbook Day - A Mother's Day Card
I've been getting in on some challenges for National Scrapbook Day.
I have never made an easel card and thought that would be a good challenge for me.
So I made my mom's Mother's Day Card For a challenge.

The paper is from Close To My Heart - Chantilly Collection.
The card fold us to be a 5x5 card.
I added buttons for embellishment.

Teapot Plaques and Decorative Holders
Well I had to go back to the drawing board. My daughter liked the teapot plaque so much she asked me if I could do another one. Only flip the Teapot the oposite direction. I said I could do this.
Then she asked if she could have my decorative holder. I said I could make another one.
I'm just happy she liked them so much. I do have to admit 2 teapots are better then one.
I had my GD help me with the 2nd one. She really enjoyed painting the teapot plaque.
Here is my daughter's house warming present. 2 teapot plaques and a decorative holder.
I think these 3 pieces look good on stands too. So now it is settled this is my daughter's house warming present!!! She is very grateful and appreciative that I made these for her.

These decorative holders I made for myself. LOL
I'm keeping them for decorative Craft room storage!!
I'm might bling up the 2 side holders more. I just have decided yet.
I know sometimes when I post things on my blog.
I see things in a different light and make some changes.
So don't be surprised if you see me posting more about these pieces. LOL
Enjoy!!!!!

Google Reader Shutting Down July 1, 2013
I want to make my readers aware that Google announced that they are shutting down Google Reader down on July 1, 2013. This means we will no longer be able to read the blogs we are subscribed to in google reader after July 1, 2013. This will not affect those who are subscribed to me by email. You will continue to get your email updates as usual.
I don't want anyone to miss out in transferring your subscribed blogs in Google Reader to another app. I want you to be able to continue reading the blogs your subscribed to because after July 1, 2013 you will no longer have your blog list available in Google Reader. So you won't be able to transfer them to another app.
I've been looking for an alternative RSS Reader and I found one I like.
It is called Feedly. Here is the direct link to their website http://www.feedly.com/
I've been doing some digging and found some articles on the Feedly. I put the links for them below.

http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,2817,2416675,00.asp
I love the android app for this. There is also an app for apple users.
Then there is a browser extension to use with Safari, Google Chrome and Firefox.
I have been sitting here playing with the Feedly app for a couple days now.
The features I like about feedly are:
Being able to save the posts I like and sorting them out with tags is so convient and fun.
It sure makes referencing back to something you like easy.
To me this feature is like having your own personal Pinterest site right there in Feedly.
With the full view to the articles when you click on the link directly in the feedly app.
I hope everyone makes the transition as easily and seemlessly as I have.

- I like the short description to the blog posts and photos.
- When you click on the link you can read the full post right in Feedly.
- When viewing blog posts that are not in the feed. In Firefox on the bottom lower right hand side is a menu box. Click on the green bookmark and the page you are viewing is saved into your feedly app. This is so cool.
