Trendy Alternatives: Digital Downloads At Cricut.com Store
.
I have been getting some digital downloads from cricut.com.
I really like having these smaller digital packages.
It is so nice to have your images right there when you need them. You have what you want instantly.
You can sync your gypsy and the images can be used on the gypsy. So your not tied down to CCR.
On the digital images I bought on cricut.com store there is a pdf handbook available. If you scroll down the product page on the images you select to purchase you can see the link in green. So these images do come with assembly instructions pdf handbook. Yes, I do like having my cartridges and handbooks. But, when I need something now. This is really a quick way of getting them.
Are they are a little pricey???
I was comparing it to some of the competition which is the hot seller right now. (Or seems to be)
I see those images going for .99 -1.99 an Image. Excluding Svg images.
So if you really compare the prices per image it isn't really that big of a difference.
If you watch the packages and how many images per package there really isn't a big difference.
For example the Valentines Sweets package has 8 image sets for 9.99 which comes to 1.25 per image.
But those sets of images can be used seperately so you would have 6+ other options. So that would come to .71 and image.
The couple, love, hearts, Happy Valentines Day, candy and stamp. That could be altered on your gypsy or CCR and be used seperate from the group.
Another example with the Valentine's boxes. You have 2 boxes for 4.99 + 4 other images that can be used seperately.
Competition has 1 box for 1.99 - CCR Digitals it comes to 2.49 per box but if you add in the other 4 images that could be used seperately it would come to .83 an image.
Thats what I look for when I buy these packages. So I think the prices are right on with what the competition is doing.
If you bought 750 images from the competition for .99 and image you would be spending $742.50 for what would equal to 1 cartridge. Which you can get for way cheaper with PC. So even having the cartridges that are digital at 49.99 it is still way cheaper then paying $742.50 for what a cartridge has on it.
I will still buy the cartridges. But I have to admit some of the digital packages are way to cute to pass up.
So I would suggest downloading the handbook so you can see all the images instead of just looking at what is pictured.
After I compared prices in this way. I don't feel these are too expensive to buy the smaller package.
This is just how I decide how I purchase and look for the best value when buying digital images.
I wanted to share what I found. Because I know there are people still wondering if this is something they would want to get into with their Cricut's.
I would hate to see anyone miss out on another way to buy images for their Cricut's!
Is anyone else trying the Digital Downloads at Cricut.com?
